This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 3 July 1958 to 14 January 1959. Notes contain lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. The majority of notes probably were taken in Falls Church. Many notes were taken "in yard", probably referring to Eike's own yard. Notes were also taken in Washington, D.C. and on 7-22-58 possibly in Virginia Beach. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds.
