Data recorded include survey and dredge number (no.), date, machine, turns, correction, depth, shot or lead, bottom, bottom temperature, number of thermometer, correction, corrected temperature, air temperature, surface temperature, drift, trawl or dredge, sounding wire readings, dredge rope readings, serial temperatures, and general remarks. Some of the remarks contain lists of quantities and types of marine specimens collected. Localities include off the coast of Sharp Point, Cape Roger Curtis (off Nanaimo, BC), Round Island (off Fort Rupert), and others in the waters near the Gulf of Alaska in Canada.
