An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 10 March to 24 March 1961 on Hawaiian Islands including Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Molokai. Collector numbers 41456-41722 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes describe the vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Auwahi, Haleakala, Kalapana Beach, Akaka Falls, Keauhou, and Kaupulehu.
