Abstract

Using Bacillus sphaericus var. fusiformis (SSII-I) we have clearly demonstrated that variations in the aquatic microbial flora can influence the observed lethal activity of SSII-I over a range of 106, thus suggesting that natural variation in microbial flora may determine the efficacy of larval control by this mosquito pathogen.
