Abstract

A natural epizootic of the fungus Lagenidium giganteum in larval populations of Culex territans in a black gum swamp was monitored from 1975 to 1977. Collections made after the fungus 1st appeared each year showed that 61% of the larval populations of Cx. territans was infected and eliminated over the 3-year period.
