Abstract

Three species of mosquitoes, Aedes harinasutai, Ae, desmotes and Mansonia dives were implicated as vectors of Wuchereria bancrofti in an endemic area of rural Thailand. This represents a unique situation for Southeast Asia in that forest-dwelling mosquitoes were responsible for transmitting the causative agent.
