Abstract

Aedes (Aedes) sasai, a new species, is described. Ae. (Ae.) asanumai, Ae. (Ae.) pseudoesoensis, and Ae. (Ae.) rossicus of Hara (1958) from Japan (nec Dolbeshkin et al., 1930) are treated as synonyms of Ae. (Ae.) esoensis.
