Abstract

Pictorial keys to the adults and larvae of the known genera of mosquitoes, subgenera of Culex and the species of Culex (Culex) of southwestern Asia and Egypt are provided for the use of field workers. Reasons are given for placing Culex deserticola Kirkpatrick in the subgenus Maillotia.
