Abstract

Detailed descriptions of the adult female holotypes of Aedes (Finlaya) purpureus (Theobald) and Ae. (Fin.) pecuniosus Edwards are provided. Illustrations of the female genitalia of the two holotypes are included. Aedes pecuniosus is resurrected from synonymy and its distinguishing features are listed.
