Abstract

An introduced, breeding population of Aedes albopictus has been established in the southern United States. There exists the possibility that it may spread to the Caribbean area. With the information included here this species can be identified using the keys of Belkin et al. (1970) and thus separate it from the indigenous mosquito fauna of the Greater Antilles.
