Abstract

A new species of mosquito, Topomyia (Topomyia) yongi is described from peninsular Malaysia. The male, male genitalia, female, pupa and larva are described in detail and illustrations of the male genitalia, pupa and larva are provided. This species is a rain forest mosquito and breeds in the leaf axils of Homalomena rostrata.
