Abstract

Eight species of the ant genusAnochetusare recognized in China:A.graeffeiMayr,A.lanyuensisLeong et al.,A.longussp. n.,A.madarasziMayr,A.mixtusRadchenko,A.medogensissp. n.,A.risiiForel,A.subcoecusForel.A.taiwaniensisTerayama, 1989 is proposed as a junior synonym ofA.risiiForel, 1900.AnochetusgracilisKaravaiev, 1925 is restored from synonymy ofA.risii. A key based on the worker caste is provided for the Chinese species.
