Abstract

The larval morphology and life history of the weevil parasitoidEutrichosoma mirabileAshmead (Hymenoptera, Chalcidoidea, Pteromalidae) are described, and the phylogenetic placement of the subfamily Eutrichosomatinae within Chalcidoidea is determined using larval morphological characters. A description ofEutrichosoma burskisp. nov.and key to the species ofEutrichosomaare provided.
