Abstract

SixMargatteaspecies are established and described: three are cryptic species, namely,M. parabisignataLi & Che,sp. nov.,M. semicircularisLi & Che,sp. nov., andM. forcipataLi & Che,sp. nov.They are distinguished from known speciesM. bisignata,M. spinifera, andM. paratransversaby their male genitalia with the aid of molecular species delimitation method (ABGD) usingCOIas the molecular marker. The other three new species areM. pedataLi & Che,sp. nov.,M. undulataLi & Che,sp. nov., andM. bisphaericaLi & Che,sp. nov.Morphological and genitalia photographs of these new species ofMargattea, as well as a key to the species ofMargatteafrom China, are provided.
