Abstract

The genus Ichthyurus Westwood, 1848 from China’s mainland is comprehensively reviewed. Four new species are described, including I. cleriformissp. nov. (China: Yunnan; Laos: Vientiane, Champasak), I. simplussp. nov. (China: Guangxi), I. senensomimussp. nov. (China: Yunnan) and I. terminalissp. nov. (China: Yunnan). Meanwhile, four species are recorded to China for the first time, including I. platyurus Gestro, 1906, I. laniger Gestro, 1891, I. bisignatus Pic, 1926 and I. phungi Pic, 1923. Additionally, both I. senensis Pic, 1926 and I. davidi Gestro, 1892 are re-described in detail within this review process. These species are illustrated with their habitus and genital segments of both sexes, aedeagus and thoracic legs of male, as well as internal genitalia of female. A key for identification of the Chinese Ichthyurus species is also provided.
