Abstract

<br> Mordellistena microgemellata<br> Ermisch, 1965, recorded from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, and Hungary, is here reported for the first time from Tunisia. A detailed redescription of the species, supplemented with photographs and illustrations of key diagnostic characters, is provided based on the examination of the holotype and 25 additional specimens. Furthermore, six sequences of the DNA barcoding fragment of the cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) gene generated in this study represent the first available DNA data for the species.<br>
