Field journal of J.A.G. Rehn kept during a collecting trip to Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. In addition to a narrative of the collecting of entomological specimens, Rehn also inlcuded among other things a tentative itinerary, a list of trees, lists of expenditures, a record of photographs taken, and a description of the warning signs of heat stroke as well as a recipe for bug repellent. Gaps in the printed numbers represent completely blank pages
